چکیده
Monogeneans, a class of parasitic platyhelminthes, are usually found on the surface fish. When it feeds its host, harbours bacteria, which can survive in gut. Occasionally, monogeneans may cause damages fish tissue while feeding and allow secondary infection. The present study aimed to isolate identify culturable bacteria obtained within gill monogeneans, Cichlidogyrus thurstonaeand Scutogyrus longicornis, tilapia fish, Oreochromis sp. based 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing. Monogeneans were isolated from filaments disinfected using 70% ethanol before squashed aseptically Luria Bertani (LB) agar internal microbiota. A total five species, namely Burkholderia sp., Enterobacter hormaechei, Ochrobactrum intermedium Pantoea C. thurstonae, whilst eight contaminans, dispersa, Sphingomonas yabuuchiae, Rhizobium pusense, O. intermedium, Acinetobacter bereziniae, Escherichia hermannii, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, S. longicornis B. P. yabuuchiaewere also filaments. bugandensisand pittiiwere solely These environment some them believed be pathogenic We suggest that serve as potential reservoirs, facilitate transmission bacteria.

Ectoparasites of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in cage farming in a hydroelectric reservoir in Brazil.
For this study, we performed a parasitological analysis of cage-cultured Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from the Água Vermelha Reservoir, Southeastern Brazil, and verified relationships with limnological data, seasonality, and fish growth phase. From March 2010 to March 2011, sixty-three specimens of O. niloticus in three growth phases (i.e., initial, intermediate, and final) were collect...
متن کاملRedescription of Cichlidogyrus philander (Monogenea, Ancyrocephalidae) using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and molecular analysis
The sclerotized structures of monogeneans have traditionally been studied by light microscopy and different staining techniques. Recently, enzymatic digestion followed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) has enabled the examination of structural details not visible with light microscopy. In order to obtain better, and more accurate, morphological information on sclerotized structures not affe...

متن کاملBiogeographical implications of Zambezian Cichlidogyrus species (Platyhelminthes: Monogenea: Ancyrocephalidae) parasitizing Congolian cichlids.
Fishes normally restricted to inland waters are valuable model systems for historical biogeography, inter alia, because of their limited dispersal abilities and concordance with the distribution patterns of other freshwater taxa (Zogaris et al. 2009). The comparison of fish species assemblages has been the major biogeographical tool for delineating African aquatic ecoregions as the fossil recor...
